Sounds as if someone is worried about their candidate. I am proud of my accomplishments and it takes commitment to succeed, first of which is my family. I have been married for twenty years this May and have three wonderful children for which I am very proud of. I worked in the golf profession for 18 year of which I was in charge of the construction of 2 golf courses that I maintained after completion. (Boomerang in Greeley and Pelican Lakes In Windsor) After completing my degree at CSU I worked for a Land Planning and Landscape Architecture firm in Fort Collins for 2 1/2 years and was layed off with others when most of our clients shut down their projects because they lost financing. Every project that I worked on was successfully except the ones I was working on when I was layed off. I currently do land planning on my own and if I was not respected in the profession I would not be as successful as I am in completing the projects for my clients. We make a lot of hard decisions for recommendations on the Planning Commission, and they are open to the public. I meet with staff weekly. I try to be sensible in my decision making and look at the community as whole. Please do do the background, as Fred puts it, on all the canidates before you vote.

rob has never held a job long enough to make a difference. he is very un-respected in the industry he has served and when it comes to any hard decision he has no backbone whatsoever . ask for accomplishments you will get a very hollow response. do the background before you vote. loveland voters buyer beware.

Had a knock at my front door Sunday. Didn't even want to answer it on such a dank and windy afternoon. Standing there with a half-frozen smile was John Case. Said he wanted to introduce himself to the neighbors of Ward I and listen to any ideas/complaints that I might have with the city government. We had a 5 minute chat and shook hands.
Now I'm thinking he's either completely out of his mind to be out on a day like today or he's genuinely interested in getting to know the lay of the land and really wants to earn the seat on the city council. I prefer to think the latter. Anyway, he has my vote.

After visiting with Rob Malloy about his positions I think he stands a darn good chance of making a really great showing and possibly even winning, if there are enough voters out there who are interested in learning about someone who is focused on a non-partisan run. City issues shouldn't be about party politics. I look forward to a person who will focus on us everyday average homeowners who care about the welfare of this city and our future.

From the article, I'm not sure whether Rice-McCrea is actually a Lovelander or a carpet-bagger from the north. She appears to get accolades from her admirers in Wyoming, but only stirs up trouble here.

Koniecki is young, but not tainted like some, could be a truly fresh face on Council.

Rob Molloy is a great choice and I support him. Rob is intelligent, thoughtful and an asset to the Loveland Planning Commission. He is not in anyone's hip pocket and will make decisions based on what is in the best interest of the City. With the 4-4 split on the existing council, I think Rob will be the voice of reason and not get bogged down in the us-them mentality that appears to be forming.

Ben, please try and keep your comments focused on the candidate's qualifications and position on the issues or we will be forced to screen your future postings.

LovelandPolitics did request a photograph from Donna Rice McCrea over two weeks ago but did not receive one. Therefore, we are using the best picture available to us at this time.

Thanks

Correction - second to last paragraph I meant to say the Loveland is full of those gun and bible conservatives I know Donna can't stand. How is she going to represent them?

That picture of Donna Rice is about 20 years old and no kidding she isn't the one who was photographed with Gary Hart on a boat! I don't ever want to see this Donna Rice in a bikini.

Given Donna's residency and name ambiguities combined with her disdain for anyone in the Republican party who isn't sponsored by some developer she is not the strong candidate Jay Hardy probably told Chad McWhinney he had recruited.

I think the official campaign theme song for the Ward 1 contest should be "The old gray mare just ain't what she used to be"

Maybe she was effective 20 years ago but now she is a bitter old woman who looks down on the blue collar majority in Loveland she will have to represent if she even gets elected. As for Republicans. lots of those terrible bible and gun conservatives she wants thrown out of the party.

It reminds me of an old movie I once saw where a guy thought he was buying a great race horse until when it was delivered. The old sway back was the same horse he saw race but that was 20 years before.
