Mr. Rust really let them have it reagrding the swim beach as did the other speaker who complained about fast food chains and impersonal chain box retailers not representing what's best for loveland.

John is a good man. The Council is acting like a bunch of wimps on this beach thing. He is right; take the boat ramp away for the HOA and let the public use Lake Loveland!

Why can't our kids put a canoe on the lake to fish if they are milking the city for so much money to use the swim beach. I am tired of these people on the Council who represent themselves instead of the rest of us.

Thanks for your great coverage of the City Council. I also thought Jan Brown and Steve Dozier were absent when I watched it in tv. Why do they go to the meeting if they don't say anything or participate in even one discussion. I like Mr. Klassen since he has a head on his shoulders and asks the tough questions most people watching the meeting are wondering. Steve Dozier needs to give-up his nearly vacant seat to someone who cares.

I just heard about this site on the radio. Great site and it is good to find a source for Loveland news. The Reporter Herald only mentioned one thing about the Council meeting. How do you guys take so many pictures of a Councilman sleeping! That is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boat ramp was apparently in an agreement some 40 years ago. No one was aware of it. At the meeting, the city said they would dig out the old meeting records.

Your kids can boat on the lake because the surface rights are owned by the property owners on the lake. I heard the amount paid to these owners for the swim beach rights (for allowing people in the water) is only $1,500 +-). The actual water in the lake is owned by the City of Greeley.

You can get all sorts of pics. Just watch 2 to 4 hours of council meeting and freeze one frame. Any emotion, any funny look, any blinking of the eyes can be found in hours of footage. Do you really believe that he was sleeping? Get real.

Residents of Loveland cannot put a boat on the lake. Of course, homeowners can put one on the lake.

Ouch, lighten-up, I took the sleeping comment by Councilor Pielin and the subsequent pictures as some good humor and nothing to be upset about. The story didn't say he was sleeping. We did have a good laugh over the whole thing though

It didn't make sense to me either. I thought Klassen said the rent was triple and so did Keven when he gave his presentation. That would make the new lease (current is $600) to be closer to $1,800.
