Election day is here - see where to drop-off your ballot if you didn't yet mail it to the County Clerk's Office.  Now is your chance to predict who will win in Loveland and whether or not you think Measure 2C will pass in Loveland.  Do you prefer the mail-in election?

I am hoping for a clean seep for integrity - Gutierrez, Solt, Archuleta and of course better local governance with Measure 2C.

Gutierrez and Solt will certainly win while Archuleta may not and 2C has already passeed I am sure.

The Mayor's race is tough to call but I believe it will (unfortunately) be Pielin's to flounder but Morey may still win. I believe Krenning will fail since he has the stink of the Marostica skunk all over him.

Carol, I think you are wrong on the Mayor's race. Pielin seemed to get the Realtor crowd while Krenning was hand picked by the developers to run for their interests. It is hard to believe he is taken seriously by anyone, however.

The Real Estate broker / Developer split over Pielin and Krenning is an interesting development. Their infighting may help Morey who is well regarded by people both in and out of that community but owned by niether. Pilein is the real estate dancing poodle while Krenning is being held-up on his hind legs by developers even though his jiggle shows that dog can't dance.

The easy race to call right now is Carol Johnson since she is alone on the ballot. I predict that at least 15% will vote for no one in their ward rather than cast a vote for Johnson. Anyone else want to take a stab at the number of ballots that refuse to vote for Johnson?

Anyway, I am on the record so let's see what happens tonight.

Let there be many more houses and retail! I say Krenning, Brown, Dozier and Larry not to mention 2C going down hard.

I voted Morey. Blank in ward 2. No on 2C.

According to the Clerk Recorder every ballot cast in Carol Johnson's Ward was cast for her and no one declined. You might lodge a complaint if what you said is true.

No, they don't track the number of ballots cast only the number voting in that election so a single candidate can only get 100% of the votes cast since the percentage is only those voted.

This seems to be a terrible idea since we also want to know how many votes were cast to see what number of people didn't vote for their only choice. Even the old Soviet Elections said like 98% for the single candidate to account for people who voted nothing out of protest.

Morey lost for only two reasons

1. That stupid advertisement in the Herald where he was wearing a woman's sun hat - terrible idea - what was he thinking?

2. He refused to support 2C when 70% of the community supported it.

He was so close but that hat and inability to stick to his guns on 2C (he signed the petition) gave Sleepy Gene the big chair.

I just want to say thank you LovelandPolitics for providing us both information and a place to air our views during the last election. We looked here first and than voted since no candidate came to our door and we are retired and don't get out very much anymore. We were informed voters this time and everything except Mayor also went our way.

Is there an address we can send your staff a small token of our appreciation this Christmas season?
