| Letter Supporting RTA Measure Falsely Claims Larimer County and Loveland Already Supporting Ballot Initiative |
A letter recently sent out to all the "influential" residents in Northern Colorado falsely claims a number of cities
and one county already have "chosen" to support the proposed RTA sales tax ballot measure.
The letter is signed by State House Representative Don Marostica and a former Mayor of Loveland. The point
of contact, however, is a well known Denver based lobbyist and President of the lobby firm Capitol Solutions.
The letter appears to be a political campaign letter on the letterhead of a group calling itself "Fast Forward" but
the contact phone number is the Capitol Solutions company President, Sandra Hagen Solin.
The reason the Loveland City Council has yet to vote on the measure is due to the fact the ballot measure is still
being negotiated between the variuos governmental agencies. There still is no final draft to be voted on at this
time. The letter also requests the recipient's presence at a special meeting to be held at the Loveland Chamber
of Commerce regarding the measure on July 10, 2007.
